About

Church Hill Elementary is a small rural school located in the northern corner of Queen Anne’s County, Maryland. It serves approximately 305 students in Pre-Kindergarten through grade 4. We serve a diverse community and are very fortunate to have a supportive group of parents who make education a top priority in their homes as well as in their community. We actively engage parents as partners to help us reach our goals/mission. CHES incorporates character education in our school day through Character Counts! coaching, character education lessons, and PBIS initiatives

Vision

Every Cub, every day, growing academically, leading with character, and preparing for a successful future.

Mission

Together with families and the community, Church Hill Elementary School empowers every student to achieve academic excellence, build strong character, and develop the confidence to succeed in school and beyond.

Welcome to Church Hill Elementary, the home of the Cubs. Family engagement and communication are first on our list and we look forward to staying connected with you.

Our partnership as a Washington College Professional Development School in nearby Chestertown, Maryland, provides us with many student interns that are working towards degrees while studying a variety of courses. This partnership provides our students with additional support as well as serving as a training arena for the college students. Continued professional development allows our teachers to update skills and knowledge of recent research and best practices in education today.
