Hello ! Welcome to the Superintendent's Section! ![]() Support Our Schools; the Future Begins Now! VIEW THE PRESENTATION FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT ON THE 3 CASE SCENARIOS FOR THE BUDGET FY14 (click here) Welcome to the 2012-2013 school year! Although we have had to make many changes within our school system this year, we are still expecting to have another excellent year. Results from last year’s hard work reflect how our students continue to perform at the top of the state in reading and math! I am thankful for the dedication and high expectations of our faculty and staff, the leadership of our administrative team, and the guidance of the system’s fine Board members who make students their number one priority!
As a school community, we recognize that the success of our children also depends on their hard work and the support of their parents/guardians and members of our community. Through this important collaboration we will continue to build on our successes, learn from our failures, and help our children reach their full potential. We pledge to place our children first in all we do. We ask you to expect from us our very best and accept no less.
Based on feedback from our parents and staff we have modified our calendar/handbook this year to provide only our overall school year calendar rather than one reflecting all schools’ activities. Individual school’s activities can be located on school websites or on the calendar found on our county website. The majority of this handbook will reflect our expectations for educating our students, an explanation of the services we offer, and the rules of our schools; information you and your child can use to have a successful school year. This year, the handbook will be distributed to the oldest child in the school system during the first week of school. There are multiple of sign-off sheets provided, however, if you need more, they will be available in the school offices or on-line.
I hope you will join us in creating a total community committed to learning and safety for all of our children. We look forward to serving you and your child throughout the coming year as we continue to move to our school system towards excellence. If we may be of service to you, please contact us by phone, by letter, or through our website. Best wishes for a successful school year. WE NEED YOUR HELP AS A COMMUNITY!
