Mrs. Marlene Stanton

Physical Education and Health Teacher

I grew up in Queen Anne's County and was a student in the Queen Anne's County Public School system, attending Church Hill Elementary, Centreville Middle, and Queen Anne's County High Schools.  I graduated from QACHS in 1994 and later attended Western Maryland College.  I received my bachelor's of science degree in exercise science in 1998.

After graduation, I taught physical education in Carroll County for 5 years.  I moved back to the Eastern Shore after getting married in 2004 to Sam Stanton and taught a year at Kent School in Chestertown.  In the fall of  2005, I returned to Queen Anne's County as a physical education teacher at Centreville Elementary.

Through McDaniel College, I completed my master's degree in exercise science in 2006.  It was in the summer of 2007 that I moved down the street and became the physical education & health teacher at Centreville Middle, and in 2016, I moved to teach here at Stevensville Middle.

I currently live in Church Hill on the family farm with my husband, and three boys (Giles, Henry, and Graham), and our dog Finley.
