    www.qacps.k12.md.us The county website provides information about Queen Anne’s County Public Schools. Some features include the district calendar, lunch menus, school closure information and curriculum.
    www.eduplace.com The Houghton Mifflin Website has resources and extension activities for each theme and each grade. Several games are located here for children’s practice in vocabulary.



    These websites provide information about the Maryland Learning Outcomes (MLO).  You can connect to the Voluntary State Curriculum and see sample responses to BCR questions for reading and math.


    This website offers many topics for research projects including subjects in the areas of science, social studies, math, language arts and reading.  The focus is on kid-friendly activities.
    www.kidsplanet.org This is a wonderful website about animals. It has kid-friendly activities as well as information on endangered species from around the world.
    www.kindnews.org This website is a supplement to the newspaper KIND (Kids In Nature’s Defense) News, which is a great non-fiction text for children.  It provides fun activities and games based on articles from the newspaper.
    www.wordcentral.com This is an online dictionary that provides definitions written with children in mind.
    www.sailor.lib.md.us Maryland libraries’ homepage provides links to regional libraries using Marina.  You can request books online and then pick them up at your local branch.
