Fun Music Educating Websites to visit:
I love the Music K-8 Kids website as a resource for music.
Dallas Symphony Orchestra has a great kids website too!
Do your kids LOVE music? I highly recommend these toys/activities:
1. Wee Sing Books and CD collections- The "Wee Sing" collection of books and music has been around since I was a child and is still one of my FAVORITE book/song collections. My favorite CD's are Wee Sing and Play, Wee Sing Silly Songs, Wee sing America, and Wee Sing for Halloween. The music is fabulous and the books are fabulous. They are available for purchase on Amazon.
2. Get your child a disc man (they are super cheap on Amazon) and headphones so they can listen to their CD's/music anytime they want (and not bother you!)
3. Rent kid-friendly musicals from the library (on a snow day!). Some of my FAVORITES are: Mary Poppins, the Sound of Music, The Wizard of Oz, Meet me in St. Louis, Singing in the Rain, The King and I, Annie, The Music Man, Newsies, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and Peter Pan (with Mary Martin).
4. Put a boom box (away from water) in the bathroom so your child can rock out to their music during their evening bath (who doesn't love siniging with bathroom acoustics!?)
