About ARISE Academy
ARISE Academy serves the needs of students who are not able to attend their public high school in Queen Anne’s County. ARISE has a small teacher to student ratio, which provides additional academic support to students who are not meeting success in a traditional classroom setting. Students who are at risk for academic failure, causing disruption in their home school, excessively absent, dealing with school anxiety, or returning to public school after placement in a juvenile facility may be eligible for enrollment at ARISE. Recommendations for admission into ARISE are made by the student’s current school administrator in conjunction with the school’s student support team, or the Superintendent of Queen Anne’s County schools.
Our mission is to provide a structured, nurturing, educational environment, where students whose needs are best met in a non-traditional school setting can come to build relationships, develop positive academic behaviors, learn to serve the community, develop grit and achieve academic success that will lead to productive post-secondary experiences.
Our vision at ARISE mirrors QACPS’s stated vision statement. We strive to help our students become college or career ready, so that they will become productive members of society upon graduation from QACPS.
