Field trips extend the learning that takes place in the classroom. Classroom teachers and other school personnel supervise field trips. Parent and guardian chaperones are requested for field trips requiring additional adult supervision. All chaperones must have taken the volunteer orientation in the beginning of the school or at least one month prior to the field. Whenever students leave school on a trip, it is necessary to have written permission from parents or guardians. Forms will be sent home in advance and should be returned as soon as possible.
Deadlines for returning permission slips will be enforced. Arrangements are made for students without permission to remain in school in another classroom. Field trips that have a cost to the student must be paid for on or before the written permission due date. There will be no refunds for students or chaperones not attending. Only CES students in the grade that is attending the field trip are allowed to attend; no younger or older siblings are allowed to attend trips.
