Meanwhile, Eric Wright’s musical odyssey began in the 5th grade in West Virginia when he first embraced the clarinet, following in the footsteps of his Aunt, and his father, unbeknownst to him at that young age. Ultimately, this began setting the stage for a remarkable ascent to high school Drum Major when his family moved to Kent County, Maryland to the esteemed position of Director of Bands for the QACHS Marching Lions. The echoes of his family’s musical legacy resonate through his story, creating a powerful narrative rooted in tradition as a QACPS music teacher for twenty-two years, and an intense dedication to his craft.
