B.S. in Elementary Education from East Carolina University; Master’s Degree in Reading Specialization from Hood College
I am a Maryland native, and grew up in Frederick County. After graduating from college, I returned to Frederick County and taught many grades for Frederick County Public Schools. During my 11-year tenureship with FCPS, I had the honor of teaching fifth and third grade as a classroom teacher. After earning my Master’s degree, I pursued a position in Reading Intervention in a title one school. I transitioned into a role to help support struggling readers, and provide small groups and specialized lessons to help them gain success in reading, specifically in the areas of English Language Learners. I joined QACPS after moving to the area in 2018. I proudly taught first and third grade at Grasonville Elementary, and am currently a first grade teacher at Centreville Elementary.
