This will be my 13th year teaching full-time at CMS. I also worked one year part-time as a paraprofessional here at CMS. I was a Teacher of the Year finalist in 2018-2019 and 2020-2021 and a Teacher of the Year nominee 2019-2020 and 2022-2023. My goal for the school year is to open students up to a world outside of their own. I want to introduce students to what life is like in other parts of the world.
I was born in Arkansas and now live in Greensboro with my wife Crystal, 16yr old daughter Lizzy, and 8yr old daughter Kathryn (Kat). My hobbies include woodworking, riding my motorcycle, hiking, hunting, camping, rock climbing, martial arts, anything outdoors, movies (which I quote often), and video games. My favorite novel is Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy by Douglas Adams, and I am also a fan of the author Clive Cussler.
My favorite words to live by are, “It's not worth doing if you can't have fun doing it!" I truly believe this and do my best to live it every day. I try to make everything fun and enjoyable, even the small things that I don't enjoy - I try to find a way to make it fun!
