Bachelors of Science in Biology, emphasis in Marine Ecology from Oregon State University; Masters of Education (in progress) K-6, emphasis in STEM Education from Wilmington University
I have over a decade of experience in education. Most of my time has been spent working in Environmental Education for organizations such as the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Living Classrooms Foundation, and Sultana Education Foundation. From hiking the coastal plain to sailing across Stellwagen Bank, these teaching positions gave me the opportunity to work with students of all ages. Each day was an adventure! I took a sabbatical from Environmental Education in 2015 and began teaching 5th through 8th grade science at an independent school in Chestertown, MD. The 2021-2022 school year was my first with Queen Anne's County Public Schools. I am thrilled to be in the classroom and part of the team at Centreville Middle School!
I live in Chestertown with my husband (Michael), two cats (Anchovy & Olive), and one turtle (Leo). My hobbies include arts & crafts, kayaking, hiking, and working on a local tree farm.
