I am thrilled to be teaching at Centreville Middle School! This is my 12th year teaching English Language Arts and the 1st year teaching Eighth Grade! I strive to inspire students to read, think critically, speak their mind, and create things that they hadn't thought possible before. We also make a habit of writing in my classroom and always welcome aspiring young authors to share their stories with me for feedback and encouragement.
In my spare time, I write fiction and poetry. Some of my stories have been featured in Flash Fiction Magazine, Delmarva Review, Fjords Review, and The Ekphrasis Review, among others. You can read some of my work at my author website.
I run a Creative Writing Club here at CMS. Please contact me for more details about joining that.
When I leave the building, I am a husband and father to two boys: a third-grader, Brennan, and a day-care marauder, Hudson. We live in Chestertown, Maryland, with our two loyal but extremely yappy dogs, Scout and Maisie.
