Bachelor's degree in English with a minor in Secondary Education from Western Maryland College; Master's degree in School Library Media from McDaniel College; Certified to teach K-12 Special Education, K-12 School Library Media, Early Childhood, and 7-12 English

This is my tenth year as a teacher at Centreville Middle School. I currently co-teach two classes of 6th grade English/Language Arts and two classes of 6th grade Math. I started at CMS as a 6th grade Language Arts teacher and developed a passion for helping my Special Education students. I took courses at Towson University in order to gain certification in Special Education and transitioned into the role of 6th grade Special Education teacher. Prior to working for Queen Anne's County Public Schools, I was a stay-at-home mom for five years. I have also worked for Dorchester County Public Schools as an Educational Technology Resource Teacher for four years; at Lockerman Middle School in Caroline County for two years, where I taught 8th grade Language Arts; and at Shiloh Middle School in Carroll County, where I taught 7th grade Language Arts for two years.
I grew up in Caroline County and participated in Queen Anne's County 4-H as a kid. When I am not working, I love to spend time with my children, Caroline and Andrew, and their collection of backyard animals. I am very excited about co-teaching ELA and Math again this year as a special education teacher!
