Bachelors of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Stevenson University; Master's Degree in Instructional Technology from the University of Maryland Global Campus

In 2012, I began working for a small private school in Anne Arundel County. I began my career as a co-teacher for Pre-Kindergarten. I then advanced and was the Community Based lead Pre-Kindergarten teacher for six years. I taught up to thirty-four students in a classroom at one time. I also managed five assistant teachers who served under me. I wore many hats at the small independent school where I worked. When the director was out for the day, I would step in as director for the day and assist teachers, students, and parents with any issues that arose.
This past summer I worked at Horizons of Queen Anne’s and Kent County. I was the teacher for Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten and First grade. At first I was hesitant about teaching all three grade levels but in order to meet each child's individual needs, I persevered. I was so happy that I was able to teach these students over the summer and learn a lot from them. Even with all of the restrictions, it was my favorite summer by far teaching students.
I am thrilled to serve our students and provide them with a plethora of information that will be helpful in order for students to be successful in the real world. I look forward to building relationships with the students and the staff at CMS. I understand that it takes hard work and determination in order to be a successful student and educator.
On a personal note, I’m a proud, loving mother to my daughter Avery. Avery is 18 months old and has so much energy. I look forward to a wonderful year as the new Gateway to Technology teacher.
