About QACPS Elementary Education
The elementary program is a rigorous, comprehensive program that addresses the needs of the whole child. We are currently transitioning from the Maryland State Curriculum to the Maryland Common Core State Standards (MCCSS).
Students receive instruction in reading, math, science, social studies, physical education, art, media, and music. Parent-teacher conferences take place twice each year, and students receive Elementary Progress Reports each marking period.
