Office of Accountability
Queen Anne's County Public Schools
The Office of Accountability will assist entral office staff and school personnel in the use of a wide range of assessment data and tools to evaluate programs and school improvement goals, including those directly related to student achievement and school performance.
The office of Accountability works with data required by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). This includes overseeing the administration of the Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program (MCAP) by administering state assessments for Reading, Math, and Science, and Social Studies.
District Areas of Support:
Supervises the administration of all state assessments: MCAP English\Language Arts, MCAP Math, Maryland Integrated Science Assessment (MISA), HSA Government, HS MISA, Multi-State Alternative Assessment (MSAA), Alternative MISA, WIDA ELL ACCESS.
Coordinates and provides assistance for national tests: PSAT, SAT, AP, CogAT, NAEP.
Provide data reporting and applications; including the Performance Matters platform, Pearson Access Next, PowerSchool, and other instructional data systems.
Prepares, creates, and compiles electronic data, testing files and reports for district, state and federal reporting requirements. Responsible for the data entry into the Performance Matters and PowerSchool Information Systems, Naviance and School Messenger.
Manages the creation of online assessments (OLA), answer keys and scan sheet generation in Performance Matters for district created test items.
Provides statistical analysis and interpretation of results obtained from state, county and school level tests administered to students, giving attention to the use of these results for the improvement of instruction to board members, administrators, teachers, and parents. Coordinates the administration, scoring and distribution of data and student reports for the CogAT assessment. Transforms raw data into high quality graphs and customized reports.
Conducts statistical research at the request of the Superintendent or Deputy Superintendent to improve learning outcomes for all students while targeting strategies to close achievement gaps specifically for African American, English Learner (EL), Free and Reduced Meals (FARMS), and Special Education students. Knowledge of the IBM SPSS Statistical Software program preferred.
Disseminates information regarding assessment initiatives to appropriate staff as needed.
Collects and calculates of Teacher Principal Evaluation (TPE) Data and provides training and assistance to principals, assistant superintendent and superintendent on TPE Databases.
