  • Physical Education

    The Physical Education course is designed to introduce students to a variety of individual and team sports, sport specific skill building opportunities, as well as introduce fitness activities that will build a foundation for making appropriate choices for physical well-being and fitness. A variety of assessments and physical activities related to skill performance, fitness, and health will be explored. Note: This course meets the Physical Education graduation requirement and must be taken concurrently with Health/Wellness.

  • Team Sports I

    The purpose of this semester course is to enable students to acquire basic knowledge of team sports play, develop skills in specified team sports, and maintain or improve health-related fitness. The content should include, but not be limited to the following: safety practices, rules, terminology, etiquette, sportsmanship, skilldevelopment, fitness activities, and assessment of skills through fitness assessments.

    The purpose of this semester course is to enable students to acquire an advanced knowledge of team sports play, develop skills in specified team sports, and maintain or improve health-related fitness. The content should include, but not be limited to the following: safety practices, rules, terminology, etiquette, sportsmanship, skill development, fitness activities, officiating, and assessment of skills through fitness assessments. Other sports offered in this course may include but are not limited to soccer, slow pitch softball, floor hockey, speedball, volleyball, flag football, basketball, badminton, table tennis, and other miscellaneous team sports.
