Mrs. Michele Hustead
Currently, I am the Reading Specialist and English teacher at Queen Anne's County High School. I have been the specialist and teacher for twelve years. My goal as the reading specialist and English teacher and is to improve a student's word attack, comprehension, and/or fluency skills. I am certified in several reading interventions: Corrective Reading, Lindamood Bell (LiPS), Wilson Reading Program, Read Live, Read 180, System 44, SOAR, and Stevenson. Also, I teach English I and English II.
For the first nineteen years of teaching, I worked with special education students ranging from learning disabilities to intellectual disabilities in Anne Arundel County Schools. Before coming to Queen Anne's, I taught at Stevensville Middle School for six years as a special educator. I also was the Individual Education Plan (IEP) Coordinator. For the 2018-19 school year, I will be teaching the reading intervention, Read 180, supervise the reading intervention, System 44, English I and II, and co-teach English IV.
Personally, I am married, and I have two grown daughters. I also have a chocolate Labrador named Paisley. I live on Kent Island.
