    What is PBIS?

PBIS is a positive behavioral intervention and support system.  It  is a systematic approach to proactive and school-wide discipline.  PBIS applies to evidence-based programs, practices, and strategies for all students to increase academic performance, improve safety, decrease problem behavior, and establish a positive school culture.  The PBIS model has been successfully implemented in thousands of schools throughout the United States, resulting in dramatic reduction in disciplinary interventions and increases in academic achievement.
