Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Jennifer Holden
I'm Jennifer Holden and the Reading Specialist here at S.E.S. I grew up in Kent County and now live in Chestertown. I started teaching in 1991 at Centreville Middle School and have been teaching in Sudlersville since 1994. Most of those years I was a fifth grade teacher but transitioned to fourth grade in 2017. Being at Sudlersville Elementary School has been a privilege because I love the community, the S.E.S. staff, and most of all, feel so proud to have been a teacher to so many fabulous students.
I have always wanted to be a teacher and did not know when I graduated in 1990 from Washington College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and in 1997 when I received my Master of Arts degree in English that such an interesting career was ahead of me. Learning never stops and every day gives each of us an opportunity to learn and grow. This belief and having a strong work ethic makes every day with students at S.E.S. fun, challenging, and rewarding.
When I'm not at school, I love to go boating on the Chester River and the Chesapeake Bay with my husband. I also love the beach, to read, and listening to my 80's music! But, you will find me at S.E.S. most of the time and I am looking forward to our time together during the year ahead.
