Mrs. Amber Taylor
Welcome to our "First Grade Jungle"! I am "roaring" with excitement to be teaching your child this year! My name is Amber Taylor and this is my first year teaching 1st grade, last year I taught Pre-K, and this year marks my 5th year in the Queen Anne's County , and my 3rd year at Church Hill. I am originally from New York, I graduated from the State University of New York at SUNY New Paltz ( that's a mouth full!) with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. I received my Early Childhood certification in Maryland in the summer of 2012. I have known I wanted to teach since I was in second grade!
I live in Queen Anne's County with my husband Jesse, my son Landon , our two dogs Diesel (an American Bulldog), D-Bow (an English Bulldog), and our two cats Tom and Jerry We are huge sports fans, football is not seasonal in our house it is a 365 days of year kind of sport. I am a die-hard NY Jets fan, please don't hold that against me! When I am not at school I am with spending time with my family which is my all time favorite thing to do! We go to New York almost every other weekend to visit my family. A few of my favorite things are sports, bargain shopping, the color turquoise, and crafting. I can not wait for our year together and all the fun we will have learning together!

This is going to be a great learning year! A huge part of educational success for a child is the communication between parents and teachers. It truly takes a village to raise a child; we are a team and need to work together for the best of your child! Please know that when your child is in my care I think of them as my own, I would want the same for my own child. I will do everything in my power to make sure they have one of the best school years to come! Feel free to contact me anytime with questions/ comments/ concerns! The best way to reach me is through email at Amber. Taylor@qacps.org or at school 410-556-6681.
