On January 27, 2026, the Maryland State Board of Education approved Queen Anne’s County Public Schools (QACPS) request for approval of a waiver to use President’s Day, February 16, 2026 as a day of instruction for students and staff.
QACPS built inclement weather contingency days into our approved calendar. Additionally, three days are embedded at the end of the school year for weather related make-up days.

As of January 29, 2026, QACPS has experienced five inclement weather closures: December 5 and 15, 2025, and January 27, 28, and 29, 2026. In early spring, the Board will vote to determine the final day of school. We will notify the community following that decision.
