Gabby Pfeifer – Bonus Feature on ArtScene | the Podcast

Gabby Pfeifer on ArtScene | the Podcast

CENTREVILLE, MD—ArtScene | The Podcast is back with a special 15-minute bonus segment in July featuring Gabby Pfeifer, following the success of Episode 36. Gabby, a 2020 Maryland All-State Dancer and proud Kent Island High School alum, continues her journey as an Associate Teaching Artist for the Carole Cascio Fund for Mind Movement Dance Connections.

In this bonus episode, Gabby shares heartfelt reflections on restaging her original choreography Inner Chaos, mentoring first-time dancers, and preparing for her upcoming summer at the American Dance Festival. She also discusses the emotional transformation she experienced while revisiting and performing the solo “I Can Dream, Can’t I?”—taught to her by Amy Young of the Paul Taylor Dance Company, from the iconic modern dance work Company B.

Since her promotion at CCF, Gabby has expanded her reach across Queen Anne’s County, recently bringing movement and dance experiences to Kennard Elementary School with Media Specialist Heather Gray, and Kent Island Elementary School with Music Teacher Erika Beyer, who is being showcased in a future podcast. Gabby’s work continues to model how young artists can return home to lead, inspire, and build creative connections that last.

Gabby’s advice to aspiring dancers? “Send the email. Keep going. You’ve got this.”
