Grasonville Elementary School is located in Grasonville, a small rural community in Queen Anne’s County on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. The school, which opened in 1995, houses pre-kindergarten through grade five with a total population of approximately 500 students. Our staff is dedicated to meeting the needs of our diverse population, and we work collaboratively to accomplish this goal. Our school population is drawn from the Grasonville and Queenstown communities. We are fortunate enough to have active and supportive families from each of these communities.

Message from the Principal
Dear Families,
I am thrilled to serve as the principal for Grasonville Elementary School. Grasonville Elementary School is more than a school, we are a family. We take great pride in creating a school that is a second home for our students and families. Our staff has a well-rounded background in school improvement, data analysis, and school discipline, as well as refined talents in differentiation, social emotional learning, empowering others, and equity-based inclusive education, which we believe give us the power to open doors, build bridges, and inspire vision. As a school staff, we firmly believe in the importance of communication and collaboration with all stakeholders, as well as in building strong and positive relationships with students and families to create a school where all students, families, and staff feel fully valued, welcomed, supported, and engaged in learning. As Helen Keller stated, “Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.” As we strive for excellence each day, we encourage you to volunteer, be involved, and to have a voice. We need you! It takes a village to raise a child and we have a great one!
Happiness,
– Ms. Becky Tubman, Principal
