I’ve been in education since 1995, but my love for teaching began long before that—I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. I grew up in New England and moved to Maryland for college in the early 1990s. I loved it so much here that I decided to make it my home and never left.

Outside of school, I enjoy knitting, reading, and antiquing. My favorite color is orange—in fact, I even wore orange sneakers at my wedding! My husband John and I have two sons and a dog named Raven (not named after the football team!).
