CENTREVILLE —The musical prowess of the Kent Island High School (KIHS) and Queen Anne’s County High School (QACHS) bands was on full display as several students earned coveted spots in the 2024 All-Shore Honor Band following rigorous auditions at Bennett Middle School.
Five outstanding musicians from Kent Island High School secured their positions in the prestigious ensemble:
- 1st chair Bassoon: Reagan Ebaugh
- 5th chair Clarinet: Katie Schaefer
- 1st chair Bass Clarinet: Emily Schaefer
- 12th chair Trumpet: Landon Rosekrans
- Timpani: Eliana Ranelli
*Special recognition to Eliana Ranelli for not only securing the Timpani position but also earning the first chair spot in Snare Drum, Mallets, and Timpani.
In total, nine students from KIHS and QACHS have earned well-deserved spots in the All-Shore Band. This remarkable accomplishment reflects the dedication and skill of the students and the exemplary guidance of their Band Directors, Kim Scully (KIHS) and Eric Wright (QACHS).
