BA from Salisbury State University; APC holder in Dance K-12

I was Teacher of the Year 2020-2021. After college, I followed my passion for teaching and became a certified teacher in Maryland. I love to dance and started my journey at the Dashiell School of Dance in Stevensville, Md. I continued to dance at my high school, Arundel Sr., until I went to Salisbury State University, where I received several awards in dance. Upon graduation, I furthered my career by performing at the Chesapeake Music Hall and the Burn Brae Dinner Theatre in Burtonsville, Md.
Being the dance teacher at KIHS allows me to be the advisor for the dance company and choreograph all the musicals for the school. I also serve on the School Improvement Team and am the department chairperson for the performing arts team. With over 25 years of experience in education and over 40 years of dance and performing experience, I continue to be excited to share with students my passion for dance and performing. Every day, I strive to educate the “whole child” and am committed to my personal and professional excellence.
Fun fact: I performed at a banquet with Muhammad Ali, and Wilma Rudolph.
