Being 5'2"" has its advantages and disadvantages. Advantage: I can fit into small spaces. Disadvantage: everyone asks you to squeeze through to get the ball that went over the fence for the tenth time. When I walk through the hallway between class changes, I have to find a student taller than I am, hold onto his/her bookbag, and follow that person like a tailback follows a fullback to the next class.
Being able to teach the full student: knowledge, basic life skills, and to encourage community involvement is why I teach. The fame and fortune is also a nice perk.
I have played violin for 31 years, and have a love for anything athletic.
