BS in Biology with a concentration in Evolution from the University of Pittsburgh
MAT in Secondary Science Education from the University of Pittsburgh
I grew up about 30 miles north of Pittsburgh and attended the University of Pittsburgh for both my undergraduate degree in Biology and my Master of Arts in Teaching. I've been at Kent Island High School since 2014. Outside of teaching Biology and AP Environmental Science, I coach the ice hockey team, am a co-adviser for the National Honor Society, and am the adviser for the Debate Club. I have truly enjoyed my time at KIHS and look forward to what comes next!
When I'm not teaching, I spend a lot of time with my wife and our kid(s). We have a full zoo here - two dogs, two cats, and two rats - so that keeps me busy as well! I'm legitimately interested in just about everything (music, movies, television, video games, hiking, sports, reading, philosophy, etc.) so if you ever want to chat about anything, I'm always open to that!
Weird fact: When I was in high school, my eyebrows disappeared for a year!! Luckily, they returned.
