Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education/General Special Education; Masters of Education: Reading Specialist

I have been working with children both as a classroom and “specials” teacher for 27 years. My first years of teaching were at Holy Trinity Episcopal Day School in Bowie, MD teaching 3rd grade and Sacred Studies. After moving to Stevensville, I felt it was time to make a move closer to home. In 2007, I began my new chapter at Matapeake Elementary. Through my years at MES, I’ve taught both first and second grade.

I am a proud mom to my son, Chris, who has just graduated from UC San Diego with his Doctorate in Molecular Biology! In my free time, I love to read on my Kindle and work in the garden. Going out to dinner at Bridges or Knoxie’s with family and friends is one of my favorite things to do!
