Queen Anne’s County Public Schools is thrilled to announce that Mrs. Marcie Mamas of Kent Island High School (KIHS) is the 2025-2026 Teacher of the Year! She is a Business Teacher in the Career and Technical Education Department at KIHS. This is her 29th year in education. Mrs. Mamas hopes to leave a legacy of helping students to discover their passions and develop real-world skills so they can confidently build their future.
KIHS Principal Dan Harding states: “Mrs. Mamas exemplifies what it means to be an educator. She truly goes above and beyond and cares deeply about all of her students. With 29 years of unwavering dedication, she has empowered students to uncover their passions and gain real-world skills that will guide them far beyond the classroom.
