  •  TEACHER CERTIFICATION

The Human Resources department of Queen Anne's County Public Schools (QACPS) handles the certification needs of nearly 800 teachers. The Certification Specialist monitors county and state requirements and works directly with the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) on all certification requests and issues for QACPS professional employees. If you are a QACPS employee and have questions about certification that are not answered in the Handbook below, please email hr@qacps.org.

    QACPS Certification Handbook

This handbook includes all of the information found in this section of the Human Resources website including requirements for each certificate type, information on the renewal process, and all related forms.

If you are not a QACPS employee and have questions about teacher certification in the state of Maryland, please contact the MSDE directly at 1-866-772-8922 (toll free), 410-767-0412, or 410-333-6442 (TTY/TDD). You can also visit their website for information at www.mdcert.org.
