Regional Training Program (RTC) and LaSalle University

LaSalle University is offering graduate courses for professional development through the Regional Training Center (RTC) Program and a full Master of Arts in Education degree program on the Chesapeake College Wye Mills Campus. In Fall and Spring, weekend classes are offered to accommodate working teachers. During the summer, condensed, full-day courses are offered.

The cost of tuition for courses is $1,155.00 for a 3-credit course. QACPS has a direct-billing arrangement where we pay the allowable tuition benefit directly to RTC as long as the employee completes the course with a grade of “B” or better and is eligible for the course reimbursement benefit. The employee is responsible for any difference between the course cost and the reimbursement amount they are eligible for under the current year negotiated agreements.  Those employees seeking a Master's degree through RTC/LaSalle University Program may be eligible for a higher rate of reimbursement.

    Salisbury University
QACPS and SU have a direct-billing agreement in place to help lessen the amount of out-of-pocket expenses for our full-time employees to take courses. QACPS will pay the reimbursable tuition amount (up to the maximum outlined in the negotiated agreements) directly to SU after successful completion of a course. To take advantage of the direct-billing option, register as normal with SU and be sure to submit your course reimbursement request on our HR website at least 2-3 weeks before the course starts so we can notify SU of your eligibility.
