The Maryland Association of Environmental and Outdoor Education (MAEOE) hosted the annual 2024 Youth Summit on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Sandy Point State Park which provided a fantastic opportunity for Queen Anne’s County Public Schools (QACPS) students and teachers to explore local environmental programs and connect with resource providers. The event also featured celebrations for new and recertifying Green Schools and Green Centers, with participants engaging in award ceremonies, youth leadership activities, a green career fair, and an environmental literacy fair. QACPS was represented well with seven of the nine schools that recertified this year attending the event. The overwhelming achievement of QACPS efforts continues to be a shining example in our community and state. Congratulations to all!
