Last week, students at Kennard Elementary School (KES) had the exciting opportunity to explore the world of rugby. Thanks to a partnership with Imagine Rugby and Major League Rugby, KES students learned about the fundamentals of the sport, practiced their skills, and even took part in a flag rugby game.
Mr. Mace Davis, KES’s health and physical education teacher, led the week-long event after attending a district-wide professional development session in August, where all K-12 Physical Education teachers learned about rugby. With Imagine Rugby generously donating the equipment and their time, the day was a fun-filled success, giving students a unique experience they won’t forget!
