“Inclusive EL Instruction for Multilingual Learners” - Fall Professional Development Class

Fall Professional Development Course Opportunity—All Expenses Paid:

For the fourth time, Salisbury University will offer a course entitled “Inclusive EL Instruction for Multilingual Learners” for administrators, school leaders, support staff, and teachers. The course description is below. There are not only NO tuition, fees, or textbook costs—the federal grant covers all of these costs. More importantly, you will also receive a stipend to cover travel or other expenses for each day you attend, which is five all-day Saturday classes for a total of $500. You will receive the stipend whether you live far away or just down the block from the classroom. This stipend is contingent upon attending all institutes ($100 paid per day), and will be paid after completion of all course requirements (to include the completion of a post-course final report).

For attending five Saturday institutes, you will have completed an entire course worth three graduate or undergraduate credits, as if you had taken the course during a traditional semester. University costs are expensive, and there are few programs that will not only cover all costs, but pay you to attend. This is how important we think this training is for all public school personnel.

This course will provide relevant and customizable strategies for all stakeholders in schooling—teachers, administrators, and support staff—in their improvement of the delivery of either classroom-based and/or school-wide services of pertinence to EL learners specifically and all learners generally.

If interested, please read the attached instructions and send to Mr. Robert Hoffman, the two indicated forms (application and residency) by Friday, April 3, 2020. Following are additional details about this new course:
