QACPS ANNOUNCES NEW CHURCH HILL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
PRINCIPAL FOR THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR
 
CENTREVILLE, MD – Today, Queen Anne’s County Public Schools (QACPS) Superintendent
Dr. Andrea M. Kane announced the promotion of program supervisor, Susan Walbert, to serve as principal of Church Hill Elementary School for the 2020-2021 school year. She oversaw the Title I, Title III, PreK-2 Reading, and Migrant Education programs since 2017, and has experience as an elementary school teacher and counselor.
 
“We are fortunate to have talented and experienced educators, like Ms. Walbert, ready to lead
schools and support children regardless of the challenges ahead,” Dr. Kane said. “She has the
instructional leadership capacity to ensure that Church Hill Elementary is a safe, healthy learning environment where students can grow and achieve at high academic levels.”
 
Ms. Walbert began her career as a third-grade teacher at Kennard Elementary School. During her 14 years at Kennard Elementary, she worked in the roles of special education teacher/IEP
chairperson, school counselor, and teacher specialist. She also taught at Sudlersville Elementary School, where she was a teacher specialist and lead-teacher of the Migrant Education Program. 
She served as a teacher specialist at Sudlersville Middle School.
 
 

 

QACPS Anucia nueva directora para CHURCH HILL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL para el anio escolar 2020-2021  

CENTREVILLE, MD – Hoy, las Escuelas Públicas del Condado de Queen Anne (QACPS) Superintendente Dr. Andrea M. Kane anuncio la promoción del supervisor del programa, Susan Walbert, para ejercer como directora de la Escuela Elemental Church Hill para el año escolar 2020-2021. Ella superviso el Title I, Title III, Lectura PreK-2, y el programa de Educación Migrante desde el 2017, y tiene experiencia como maestra de escuela elemental y consejera. 

 

 “Nosotros somos afortunados de tener una educadora talentosa y con experiencia como Ms. Walbert, lista para dirigir la escuela y apoyar a los niño(as) independientemente de los desafíos futuros,” dijo Dr. Kane. “Ella tiene la capacidad del liderazgo instruccional para asegurar que la Elemental Church Hill es de un ambiente de aprendizaje saludable, seguro donde los estudiantes pueden crecer y alcanzar un nivel académico alto.”

 

 Ms. Walbert comenzó su carrera como maestra de tercer grado en la Escuela Elemental Kennard.  Durante sus 14 años en la Elemental Kennard, ella trabajo en los roles de maestra de educación especial/Manager de IEP, consejera de escuela, y maestra especialista. Ella también enseno en la Escuela Elemental Sudlersville, donde ella era la maestra especialista y maestra-líder del Programa de Educación Migrante. Ella ejerció como maestra especialista en la Escuela Media Sudlersville.
