Principal Susan Walbert

Mrs. Walbert began her career in education in 1998 as a third-grade teacher at Kennard Elementary with Queen Anne’s County Public Schools. During her 14 years at Kennard Elementary, she worked in the roles of Special Education Teacher/IEP chairperson, School Counselor, and Teacher Specialist.  In 2012, looking for a new adventure, she went to Sudlersville Elementary School as the Teacher Specialist and Lead Teacher of the Migrant Education Program.  In 2016, searching for secondary experience, she transferred to Sudlersville Middle School as the Teacher Specialist.  In 2017, she was hired as the Supervisor of Title I, Title III, PreK-2 Reading, and Migrant Education. 

Mrs. Walbert is a proud citizen of Queen Anne’s County and a graduate of QACHS. Her education continued at Delaware State University where she earned a dual degree in Early Childhood(PreK-3) and Special Education. As a lifelong learner, she furthered her education by attending Wilmington University where she earned a master’s degree in school counseling. She participated in the Target Program (English Learner Instruction) at Salisbury University, earning an additional 15 credits in English Learner instruction. Mrs. Walbert is Administrative I and Administrative II certified. 

Mrs. Walbert is passionate about building relationships with students, families, and staff. She loves watching students grow and learn.  She resides in Centreville with her husband and best friend, Jeff.  She enjoys every minute she can spend with her adult children and energetic grandkids!
