Service-Learning
Service-Learning provides students with the opportunity to experience volunteering for our community. It is a method of teaching and learning that challenges students to implement solutions to real needs in their school or community as part of their curriculum.
You do not need to go outside SMS to receive this credit. However, volunteering outside school is still encouraged for admittance into the National Junior Honor Society and for future college applications.
For forms and additional information, please visit the Service-Learning page on the QACPS primary site.
Chromebooks
Each SMS student is assigned a Chromebook to help facilitate their learning. Chromebooks and other digital tools that support education are managed by the QACPS Instructional Technology Department. Additional information is available in the Forms & Resources section of the main QACPS site.
