As we move into the Hybrid Schedule approved by the QACPS Board of Education, I wanted to take a few minutes and explain some things about the changes that will occur starting Tuesday, February 16th. I have recorded a video explanation of the STMS Hybrid re-opening for parents/guardians. Please take 15 minutes to view it by clicking the link below:

Wireless Hotspots: As outlined in the QACPS Recovery and Reopening Plan, QACPS is minimizing the option for paper packets. With that being said, internet access is important. If you need to get a mobile “hotspot” because of unreliable internet access, please let us know! QACPS has purchased several hundred to support families. (And please don’t be embarrassed… quality internet access on the Eastern Shore is not a guarantee for everyone. The Kenna household doesn’t get fast internet either, so I understand!) To request a mobile hotspot: email michele.milligan@qacps.org or call us @ 410-643-3194. We will get you on the list with QACPS to get one!
There’s plenty we might want to forget about 2020, but there’s certainly a great deal worth remembering. The yearbook staff has been working hard to create a book that documents this historic year. This is one book you will want to have.
Sales are open now, and copies are limited. We don’t have the ability to order extras, so please CLICK HERE to guarantee your copy. (Did you know? Jostens allows you to pay for the book in 3-installments for no additional fee. How easy!)
Congratulations – We are pleased to report that Ms. Potter’s baby girl has arrived! Ms. Potter (our school counselor) will be out for a couple of months. STMS is lucky to have Ms. Connie Dean, an experienced counselor with QACPS, to fill in while Ms. Potter is out. Ms. Dean will start next week, and we will share her contact information with students and parents.
I wanted to take a few minutes to introduce myself to you. My name is Connie Dean and I will be filling in as the school counselor at Stevensville Middle School, while Ramona Potter is out for the next few months. I have previously worked as the school counselor at Stevensville Middle school, as well as a several other QAC schools over my many years in the QAC school system. I am glad to be here to work with you, and look forward to providing school counseling services to students, parents, and staff. Feel free to contact me for any services that you would normally contact Ramona Potter for. You can reach me by email or phone:
