Sudlersville, MD – This past fall, eighth-grade students at Sudlersville Middle School, led by ELA teacher Mrs. McNiece, participated in the Thrill of Horror writing unit, where they created 100-word horror stories emphasizing setting, imagery, and purposeful word choice.
Students were invited to submit their work to the Young Writers Fright Club nationwide contest. As a result, 54 students were selected for publication in Fright Club 2025 – Nightmare Tales. From all published entries, three students will be chosen to receive a $50 Amazon gift card.
“We are incredibly proud of our students and the creativity they demonstrated through this work,” said Dr. Brice, Principal of Sudlersville Middle School. “Mrs. McNiece’s passion for teaching and inspiring students played a key role in this National Recognition.”
