Message from the Principal

Dear Centreville Elementary School Families,

I am both excited and honored to introduce myself as the new principal of Centreville Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year.  CES has always held a special place in my heart, as it is where my own children gained a strong educational foundation from such a passionate and dedicated staff.  I am truly excited to begin this new role and collaborate with you to help our students thrive.

This upcoming school year will mark my 22nd year in education.  I am a proud graduate of Queen Anne’s County High School and was born and raised here in Centreville. Throughout my career, I have taught both 1st and 2nd grade at Grasonville Elementary School before serving as a Reading Specialist, Teacher Specialist, and Assistant Principal.

On a personal note, my husband and I currently live in Centreville with our three children.   I am deeply invested in this community both personally and professionally.

As principal, I strongly believe that building meaningful relationships is the foundation of a successful school.  I am committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where every child feels valued and every family feels connected.

I look forward to partnering with our students, staff, families, and community members to continue the tradition of excellence at Centreville Elementary School.  Together, we will create meaningful learning experiences that encourage growth, curiosity, and success for every child.

I am eager to begin this journey with you and look forward to an amazing school year ahead.

Warm regards,

Tiara Rhoades
